WOMEN’S FILM FESTIVAL: The annual Women’s Film Festival in Brattleboro, VT is the longest running women’s film festival in New England. Now in its 28th year, it is a celebration of movies from around the world and a platform for women to tell their own stories.  It is also a major fundraiser for the work of the Women’s Freedom Center, a non-profit domestic and sexual violence organization in Southeastern Vermont. COOL NEW TOWN, a female-driven fish out of water episodic comedy, currently in development through the Time Warner Inc OneFifty Storytellers Initiative, and in partnership with Beech Hill Films. Based on a feature film of the same name selected as a SEMI-FINALIST in the 2018 OJAI FILM FESTIVAL Screenplay Competition.

3 DAYS, a horror-comedy short about friendship and the threat against female independence. 

EXCELLENT FANCY, a new feature comedy screenplay about multi-generational women's friendships and the all-guts-no-glory world of Off-Off Broadway New York theater, was featured in a reading as a finalist in THE BROAD HUMOR FILM FESTIVAL on September 2, 2018, and has to advanced rounds in the2018  ACADEMY NICHOLL FELLOWSHIP and AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL.

ADMAZONS, a short film co-written by and starring Julie Sharbutt and Cathleen Carr, was selected as a SEMI-FINALIST in THE BROAD HUMOR FILM FESTIVAL and will be screened on MONDAY AUGUST 6th at 7:30pm in the BROAD HUMOR MAX 10 SCREENING SERIES at The Electric Lodge, Venice, CA. 

MOVED, a feature comedy written, directed by, and starring Julie Sharbutt, distributed in 2015 by The Orchard, now available on Amazon Prime, iTunes, and Google Play.

THE WEEKEND, a feature comedy co-created by and starring Julie Sharbutt, distributed in 2014 by FilmBuff, now available on Hulu and iTunes.
