EXCELLENT FANCY, a new feature comedy screenplay about multi-generational women's friendships and the all-guts-no-glory world of Off-Off Broadway New York theater, won the BEST FEATURE SCREENPLAY AWARD at the 2019 BOWERY FILM FESTIVAL. It was also featured in a live reading as a FINALIST in THE BROAD HUMOR FILM FESTIVAL in late 2018, and advanced rounds in the 2018 ACADEMY NICHOLL FELLOWSHIP and AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL.
HALLOWEEN PARADE, a new feature comedy screenplay about a group of 11 year old girls in 1992 who escape a Halloween sleepover to perform a seance in New York’s Greenwich Village. Currently in festival submission.
COOL NEW TOWN, a new feature comedy screenplay about urban millennial rural retirement, was selected as a SEMI-FINALIST in the 2018 OJAI FILM FESTIVAL Screenplay Competition.
ADMAZONS, a short film co-written by and starring Julie Sharbutt and Cathleen Carr, was selected as a SEMI-FINALIST in THE BROAD HUMOR FILM FESTIVAL and premiered on MONDAY AUGUST 6th, 2018 in the BROAD HUMOR MAX 10 SCREENING SERIES at The Electric Lodge, Venice, CA.
